1 March 2024 – Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) participated in Malaysian International Furniture Fair (MIFF) starting from 1 – 4 March 2024 at MITEC, Kuala Lumpur.
FRIM’s booth received a visit from YBhg Datuk Seri Johari Bin Abdul Ghani the Minister of Plantation and Commodities at the MIFF 2024 exhibition on the afternoon.
The Minister was warmly welcomed by oleh YBrs Dr Wan Tarmeze Wan Ariffin, Director of the Forest Production Division, Dr Sharmiza Adnan, Managing Director of FRIM PCS as well as exhibition staff consisting of Nor Haliyan Tan Shilan, Noor Azrieda Abd Rashid, Yanti Abd Kadir, Muhammad Azidan Zakaria , Nurhajarulhasni Md Ismail, Nur Elysa Shakira Othman and Noraniza Ahmad Daud.
The theme ‘FRIM Solution Provider for Furniture Industry‘ at this exhibition, FRIM has exhibited the main highlight in promoting the testing laboratory facilities offered at FRIM as well as product certification services (FRIM PCS).
This exhibition has also highlighted two main products which are wooden beds from Impressive Transforms Sdn. Bhd. and Telephone Booth from Oasis Furniture Industries Sdn. Bhd. Both of these products are produced from materials that are environmentally friendly and safe for users.
Also present on the first day of the MIFF exhibition were Mrs. Toh An Nee and Mrs. Ida Suriani Abd Shukor.
