06 JULY 2022 – ‘Malaysian International Furniture Fair’ (MIFF) 2022 was held at Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), Kuala Lumpur on 6 July 2022.
The FRIM booth has highlighted furniture products made from sustainable bamboo materials where it showcases research materials and bamboo-based furniture products in addition to promoting the FRIM Product Certification Service (FRIM PCS). This booth was running for 4 days from July 6 to July 9.
YBrs. Dr Ismail Parlan, Director General FRIM was greeted by Hashim W Samsi, Head of Empowering Product Certification ; Dr Syarmiza Adnan, Managing Director FRIM PCS; Nor Haliyan Tan Shilan, Manager FRIM PCS and officer from Forest Product Division and FRIM PCS.
The MIFF 2022 Opening Ceremony was officiated by YBrs. Abu Bakar Yusof, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Matrade. Also present at the ceremony, Dr Tan Chin Huat, Founder and Chairman of MIFF; Dr Wan Tarmeze Wan Ariffin, Director of FRIM’s Forest Product Division representing; Dr Khairul Awang, Head of Wood Processing Program and Toh An Nee, Head of FRIM Corporate Communications.
This annual event is again physically organized with the participation of more than 600 exhibitors from 14 countries.
