13 December 2021 – 170 participants from government, private, industry and university agencies attended the 2021 FRIM Fire Door Webinar on November 30.
This webinar aims to increase public awareness of the steps required to protect lives from building fires as well as the processes involved in obtaining Fire Resistance Door Product Certification and Fire Safety Installation Certificate.
This program presents a detailed explanation from the point of view of manufacturers, certification bodies, testing and authorities regarding the requirements of the fire resistance door industry. It also provides a platform for further collaboration in research and technical contexts among participants. Current issues faced by fire resistance door manufacturers are also discussed in this webinar session.
Program organize by FRIM Forest Production Division and FRIM Product Certification Services (FRIM PCS) officiated by Dr Ismail Parlan, Director General of FRIM by video recording. Ismail also introduced the publication of FRIM’s book entitled, ‘FIRE-RATED TIMBER DOOR FRAME – PRODUCTION & REQUIREMENT’.
Dr Mohamad Omar Mohamad Khaidzir, Director of the Forest Production Division delivered a welcome speech, while the presentation session was moderated by Dr Sharmiza Adnan, Managing Director of FRIM PCS.
